The Platform is intended for professional educators, school owners, and others participating in the education ecosystem. You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding agreement under applicable law.

You represent that information you provide during registration is accurate, current, and complete, and that you will keep it up to date.

myStaffRoom supports educator accounts and related professional features. Features available to you may include community feeds, rooms, portfolios, connections, direct messaging, and optional notifications, and may change as we develop the Platform.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes
• Harass, abuse, defame, or discriminate against others
• Post or send content (including in rooms or direct messages) that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights
• Upload malware, spam, or attempt to disrupt Platform operations
• Scrape, crawl, or reverse-engineer the Platform without permission
• Misrepresent your identity, credentials, or professional affiliation
• Use connections or messaging to spam, solicit improperly, or bypass community standards

We may investigate violations and take action including content removal, account suspension, or termination.

You retain ownership of content you submit (posts, profiles, media, messages, documents). By posting or sharing content on the Platform, you grant myStaffRoom a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely to operate and improve the Platform (including delivering it to intended recipients and generating public previews where sharing features are used).

You represent that you have the right to share your content and that it does not violate these Terms or applicable law.

myStaffRoom is a professional space for educators. We expect respectful, constructive participation in feeds, rooms, and related features. Content should be relevant to education, professional development, and community connection.

Rooms may be administered by Platform staff or designated hosts. Joining a room may require approval. We may moderate feeds, rooms, and profiles to uphold these standards. Moderation decisions are made at our discretion.

You may send and accept connection requests with other educators. Direct messaging is limited to accepted connections. Messaging is provided for professional communication; it is not a guarantee of privacy against the other participant, and you should not share sensitive personal data you are not willing to disclose to them.

Unsaved direct messages may automatically disappear after a short period once opened (currently about 24 hours), unless saved by a participant. Saved messages remain available subject to these Terms and our technical limits (including any caps on saved messages per conversation). We are not responsible for loss of unsaved message content after expiry.

You may optionally enable browser or installed-app notifications and manage category preferences in settings. Notifications are provided as a convenience; delivery depends on your device, browser, network, and permission settings, and is not guaranteed. You may disable notifications at any time.

Features that help educators discover and connect with one another (including directories and public portfolios) are provided for professional networking. myStaffRoom does not guarantee employment outcomes, introductions, or responses from other users.

If you use information about other users obtained through the Platform, you are solely responsible for compliance with applicable employment, data protection, and anti-discrimination laws.

You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, pose a risk to other users, or where required by law.

Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ends. Provisions that by nature should survive (including liability limitations and dispute terms) will remain in effect.

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation. Content posted by users does not reflect our views and is not professional, legal, or career advice. Optional features such as push notifications and message retention behaviour may change as we improve the product.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, myStaffRoom and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data (including expired unsaved messages), or goodwill arising from your use of the Platform.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform will not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred US dollars (USD 100), whichever is greater.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Nigeria, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
